Acorn Shipwreck

The Acorn was a 165-foot Scottish steamship built in 1881 that met its fate on Elbow Reef on February 8, 1885. Today, the wreck rests in just 20 feet of water, making it a highly accessible and popular site for snorkelers and divers alike. The iron remains, including the vessel's boilers and propeller shafts, are beautifully encrusted with sea fans and soft corals, attracting vibrant schools of snappers and parrotfish.
