Known to locals as Beer Can Island, this spot is located right off the Boynton Inlet. While the physical island is a bird preserve and off-limits, boaters and kayakers anchor in the shallow Intracoastal waters adjacent to it. During low tide, it becomes a shallow wading area (around 6 inches deep) popular for anchoring out, floating, and relaxing. Strong currents and high boat traffic are common due to the nearby inlet.
