The Rib Wreck is a shallow iron-hulled shipwreck located in Hawk Channel off Marathon. The site features rectangular iron reinforcing frames (ribs) that protrude 1 to 5 feet above the sandy bottom in 14 feet of water. These structures act as a nursery reef, sheltering schools of juvenile grunts, blue tangs, and mangrove snappers.
