Tarpoon Wreck

The Tarpoon Wreck is a 165-foot steel cargo freighter that was intentionally sunk in 1985 to create an artificial reef. Located in the waters off Miami, this shipwreck rests upright on a sandy seabed at a depth of 65 feet, making it an accessible and exciting dive for both novice and experienced divers. The open cargo holds of the Tarpoon offer intriguing swim-through opportunities, allowing divers to explore the interior of the ship safely. Over the years, the wreck has become a thriving habitat for a variety of marine life, including schools of colorful fish, barracudas, and the occasional sea turtle.
