Three Rooker Island is a relatively new sandbar that emerged from the waters in the past decade and is formed from sand eroded from other areas. Indeed, the island often changes in size and shape with the shifting tides. Situated off the coast of northern Pinellas, the northern part of the island is home to a bird sanctuary, so pets are not allowed there. The water here is as blue as the Caribbean, and the sand is amazingly soft and white.
